“And I forgive myself for the times I was not around to love myself the way I am.”

This line literally stopped me. It is painfully beautiful, and it carries such depth, guilt, and softness for me...

I am glad it resonated and I hear the depth and tenderness in what you felt. There was not really guilt for me, more of acknowledgement, compassion and letting go.. Softness, yes! - holding my humanity in softness has become a practice.

I think the guilt is mostly my own way of looking at it whenever it comes to forgiving myself. I could absolutely see the acknowledgment and compassion in your words, and the softness you speak of came through clearly. Enjoyed reading it.

Yeah, I understand. The words we read are often a mirror for what’s inside of us. And it is fascinating how we see things through our unique lens!

Yes, exactly. My friend texted me this morning asking what my reflection meant, and I told him, “That’s the beauty of reflections. we end up seeing ourselves and our surroundings in them.”

It’s funny how you mentioned the same thing. It really is interesting how we miss that “reflection” quite literally means seeing ourselves reflected back…
